Which repair kit should I use for an epoxy or EPS surfboard?

Choose an epoxy-compatible kit or resin. If the board construction is unclear, check with the manufacturer or ask TSS before starting the repair.

Can I use polyester resin on an epoxy or EPS surfboard?

No. Polyester repair products are intended for compatible PU/polyester boards and can damage EPS foam. Use an epoxy-compatible product instead.

Do I need a complete fibreglass kit or only resin?

Choose a complete kit when the repair needs cloth, filler, applicators and sanding materials. Resin-only and refill products suit smaller jobs or people who already have the other repair supplies.

How do UV-cure repair products work?

Prepare the damaged area as directed, apply the product and cure it using suitable UV light or sunlight. Cure times vary by product and conditions, so follow the directions on the product you buy.

When should I bring the board to TSS instead?

Ask for a workshop assessment when the foam is wet, the damage is large or structural, or a fin box, leash plug or other fitted part is moving. Delamination, deep rail damage and creases also need more than a quick surface repair.
