Shop surfboard tailpads and front deck traction in two-piece, three-piece and multi-piece layouts. Compare pad width and length, arch shape, tail kick, groove, thickness and the amount of deck coverage you want. The right layout depends on the board's tail outline and where your foot naturally lands. Measure the available deck area and dry-fit every piece before removing the adhesive backing, then install only on a clean, dry and wax-free surface.

Does the number of tailpad pieces matter?

Piece count changes how easily the pad can follow different tail widths and curves. Choose the layout that fits the deck and lets you set the spacing correctly.

Should I choose a flat pad or an arch bar?

A flat pad gives a simpler deck feel. An arch can help locate and support the back foot. Choose by comfort, stance and the board's tail shape.

What does the tail kick do?

The raised rear kick gives the back foot a reference point and something to push against. Compare kick height and contour rather than assuming the largest kick is best.

What is front deck traction for?

Front deck grip adds traction under the front foot and can reduce reliance on wax in that area. Check the available deck space and whether you want permanent traction there.

How do I install a surfboard tailpad?

Remove wax and residue, clean and dry the surface, dry-fit and mark the pieces, then apply them without trapping gaps or lifting edges. Follow the maker's curing time before use.
