Surfboard Fins

Shop surfboard fins and fin hardware for FCS II, Futures, twin-tab, longboard single-fin and 2+1 setups. Compare thruster, twin, keel, quad, five-fin, side-bite and single-fin options, along with keys, screws, plates and adaptors. Begin with the boxes already installed in the board, then use the board design, recommended configuration, rider weight guidance and the intended surf to narrow the template and size. Fin systems are not automatically interchangeable, even when the fin shapes look similar.

Buying help

Will FCS II fins fit Futures boxes?

No. FCS II and Futures use different box and fin-base designs. Buy fins and hardware made for the exact system installed in the board.

Should I choose a thruster, twin or quad set?

Use a configuration supported by the board's boxes and design. Thrusters, twins and quads change the board differently, so start with the shaper or board maker's recommendation.

What surfboard fin size should I choose?

Use the fin maker's rider-weight guide, then consider board type, tail width, wave conditions and how much hold or release you want. If between sizes, ask with the board model and rider weight.

What fin does a longboard need?

Check whether the board has a single centre box, a 2+1 arrangement or another setup. Choose the centre fin and side bites for that box layout and the board maker's recommendation.

Which fin spares are useful?

The useful spares depend on the system, but can include a fin key, grub screws, a longboard screw and plate, leash string and suitable storage for removed fins.

For fin help, contact The Surfboard Studio with the board model, rider weight, intended setup and clear photos of every fin box. This is the safest way to confirm compatibility before ordering.
