Boardbags

Shop surfboard boardbags and covers for shortboards, fish, mid-lengths, funboards and longboards, including lightweight stretch covers, padded day bags, travel bags and multi-board covers. Choose from the board's actual dimensions and outline, not the length label alone. Check maximum width, thickness, nose and tail shape, fitted fin clearance and the number of boards. Use day covers for regular transport and storage, then compare heavier padding and multi-board layouts for longer trips.

Buying help

What size boardbag should I buy?

Choose a bag that fits the board's full length, maximum width, thickness, nose and tail shape. Check the product measurements because two boards with the same length can need different covers.

What is the difference between a day bag and a travel bag?

A day bag is designed for regular local transport and storage. Travel bags usually add padding, reinforcement or capacity for longer drives and flights, but the exact protection depends on the product.

Why do fish and mid-length boards need different covers?

Fish, hybrids and mid-lengths can be wider through the nose and middle than performance shortboards. A length-only match can be too narrow for the outline.

Should I remove the fins before putting a board in the bag?

Follow the cover design. Some longboard covers provide fin clearance, while travel packing is often safer with removable fins taken out and stored separately.

Does a travel bag guarantee protection from airline damage?

No boardbag can guarantee how a board will be handled. Choose suitable padding, add protection around vulnerable areas, remove loose hardware where practical and inspect the board promptly after travel.
