Shop surfboard glassing supplies for board building, finishing and repair work, including laminating and filler resins, UV repair resins, woven fibreglass cloth, resin tints, additives, measuring tools, squeegees and spraying materials. Start by matching the resin system to the blank and existing laminate. Polyester resin is for compatible PU construction and must not be used on EPS foam. Use an epoxy-compatible product for epoxy or EPS boards, then follow the product directions for measuring, curing and safe handling.

What do I need to glass a surfboard?

The exact setup depends on the board, but a glassing job can require compatible resin, woven cloth, measuring equipment, a squeegee, additives or tint, masking materials and appropriate protective equipment.

Should I use epoxy or polyester resin?

Match the resin to the board construction. Polyester laminating and filler resins are for compatible PU boards and must not contact EPS foam. Use an epoxy-compatible system for EPS or epoxy construction.

What is the difference between laminating resin and filler resin?

Laminating resin is used to wet out fibreglass cloth. Filler or finish resin creates a sandable surface after lamination or for compatible repair work. Follow the directions for the specific product.

Should I choose 4oz or 6oz fibreglass cloth?

Lighter 4oz cloth suits lower-weight laminations and many repairs. Heavier 6oz cloth adds reinforcement where strength and durability matter more than minimum weight.

Can I add colour to surfboard resin?

Compatible resin tint can add transparent or stronger colour. Mix and test a small batch first because the final result can change with tint amount, resin, cloth, base colour and cure.
