The Surfboard Studio - Quick Cure, 5 min. Two Part Epoxy Repair is a remarkable, rapid setting repair system. The two part liquid epoxy adhesive has a rapid 5 minute cure time, perfect for those smaller dings. The two part, 1:1 ratio makes it easier than any previous mixing system and keeps it simpler for application.  The Quick Cure epoxy can also be used in conjunction with Q-Cell and Cabosil fillers to create a thickened glue paste. With an almost endless shelf life, keep a pack handy for a better surf.  






DIRECTIONS

  • Resin should be mixed in a clean plastic disposable container or measuring jug. Resin should be measured by volume only.
  • Important - Accurately measure resin and hardener for optimum performance.
  • Ideal resin temperature is 18-25°c or room temperature.
  • Mix PART A: Epoxy Adhesive with PART B: Epoxy hardener at a ratio of 1:1 
  • Mix slowly for approx. 30 seconds, ensuring not to create excessive air entrapment.  
  • Resin pot life will be approx. 5 mins. when mixed at a ratio of 1:1.
  • To reduce viscosity in colder climates, put bottles in warm water for 5 minutes.
  • Can be used  in conjunction with Q-Cell and Cabosil fillers to create a thickened glue paste.
  • 5 min Epoxy can be mixed with solid and translucent tints.
  • When using with woven fibreglass, use a squeegee to wet it out.


 

HANDLING AND SAFETY

  • Use in a ventilated area.
  • Wear PPE safety equipment; gloves, face mask, safety glasses.
  • If resin or hardener comes into contact with skin or clothing, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with cool water. 
  • Dispose of all resins as per your council regulations for hazardous material.  
  • Ambient temperature and resin temperature will effect geltime and curing properties. 
  • The end user must test material before any application to ensure correct compatibility of the resin. 
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames or hot surfaces.
  • Keep containers tightly closed.
  • Ground bond container and receiving equipment.
  • Do not breathe fumes.
  • Wash hands after handling.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke while using product.
  • Avoid release to the environment.
  • Wear protective clothing.
  • Store locked up, in a cool, dry place.
  • This product and residual vapours may be flammable.


 

FIRST AID

  • If swallowed DO NOT induce vomiting, rinse mouth with water and give a glass of water or milk.
  • If vomiting occurs, keep patients head down to prevent vomit entering lungs.
  • If splashed in eyes, flood with low pressure water for at least 15 minutes.
  • If splashed on skin remove contaminated clothing and gently wash with mild soap and water. If irritating or swelling occurs, seek medical attention.
